چکیده
Water-in-oil droplets have huge importance in chemical and biotechnology applications, despite their difficulty being produced microfluidics. Moreover, existing studies focus more on the different shape of microchannels instead size, which is one critical factors that can influence flow characteristics droplets. Therefore, present work aims to study behaviours water-in-oil at interfacial surface an offset T-junction microchannel, having radiuses, using micro-PIV software. Food-grade palm olein distilled water seeded with polystyrene microspheres particles were used as working fluids, captured images showing generated droplets’ focused junction respective microfluidic channel, i.e., radiuses 400 µm, 500 750 µm 1000 analysed via PIVlab. The increasing radius microchannel leads increase cross-sectional area decrease phase’s velocity. experimental velocity droplet agreement theoretical values, a minimal difference low 0.004 mm/s for case µm. In summary, small channel’s size yields significant overall liquid.

Velocity measurements of blood flow in a rectangular PDMS microchannel assessed by confocal micro-PIV system
This paper examines the ability to measure the velocity of both physiological saline (PS) and in vitro blood in a rectangular polydimethysiloxane (PDMS) microchannel by means of the confocal micro-PIV system. The PDMS microchannel, was fabricated by conventional soft lithography, had a microchannel near to a perfect rectangular shape (300μm wide, 45μm deep) and was optically transparent, which ...

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
suppression of coke formation in thermal cracking by coke inhibitors
the main purpose of this research was to:1.develop a coking model for thermal cracking of naphtha.2.study coke inhibition methods using different coke inhibitors.developing a coking model in naphtha cracking reactors requires a suitable model of the thermal cracking reactor based on a reliable kinetic model.to obtain reliable results all these models shall be solved simultaneously.for this pu...

We have compared the formation of oil drops in Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids in a T-junction microfluidic device. As Newtonian fluids, we used aqueous solutions of glycerol, while as non-Newtonian fluids we prepared aqueous solutions of xanthan, a stiff rod-like polysaccharide, which exhibit strong shear-thinning effects. In the squeezing regime, the formation of oil droplets in glycerol s...
متن کاملMechanical characterization of ultralow interfacial tension oil-in-water droplets by thermal capillary wave analysis in a micro uidic device
Measurements of the ultralow interfacial tension and surfactant film bending rigidity for micron-sized heptane droplets in bis(2-ethylhexyl) sodium sulfosuccinate−NaCl aqueous solutions were performed in a microfluidic device through the analysis of thermally driven droplet interface fluctuations. The Fourier spectrum of the stochastic droplet interface displacement was measured through bright-...
